i’m ghost. more specifically, i’m one of the pals. i draw and make music and most of the time computer robots do the lead vocals. i don’t know what else to put here.

FAQ

  • sorry, not right now.

  • prior to mid-2017 i used garageband 6.0.5. since then, i’ve been using logic pro x.

    • prioritize having fun with it. my first year of songwriting was done in famitracker and pxtone. i have songs with millions of views that were fully produced in an old version of garageband that i had to do tricks and spins to keep working on my shit hand-me-down laptop. don’t get me wrong, having standards and putting effort towards improving your work is awesome for your drive to continue. i wouldn’t be where i am if i didn’t hate myself and my work a little bit. but never never never never let standards take importance over your own enjoyment.

    • don’t underestimate how much you can get out of passive observation. if you listen to a lot of music, you’ll naturally find yourself replicating concepts without knowing what the hell you’re actually doing. can you make a drum pattern that keeps a steady “one-two-three-four” pace? congrats, dude, you already know how to use some basic music theory without using the words “BPM” or “4/4 time signature.”

    • if criticism doesn’t motivate you to get back to work or to try new things, ignore it entirely. if someone’s critique of your work actively discourages you, they’re stupid and it is imperative that they die.

    • if you want more practical shit from me, click here.

  • i dunno, ask one of the other pals.
